A Hillerich & Bradsby Professional Model 125 Signature Contract bat used by Pittsburgh Pirate Hall of Famer Paul 'Big Poison' Waner. Dating from 1934 - 43 it features great game use including tons of ball marks and grain separation about the barrel from the intense hitting of this aggressive Hall of Famer. Numerous rack marks are apparent and some dark black streaks appear on the front of the barrel. A small hole from mounting is present on the knob. A great and very scarce relic of this 3000 hit member that would make a great acquisition for the Hall of Fame or Pirate collector. Bat is 35in in length and weighs 37oz.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from the Helms Athletic Foundation/LA84 Collection.
