This is a wonderful bit of prose on official Cleveland Indians team stationery with the club's manager Walter Johnson detailing in his own hand about his views on managing a baseball team and its inherent similarities to running a business. Johnson writesManaging a baseball team isnt greatly different from managing a business- it is largely a job of getting every one to play out the string taking nothing for granted until the last man is out. The 8 1/2-by-11-inch letter features an intricate rendering of an Indian that appears in the lower left-hand corner of the document. The letter is signed "Walter Johnson" and is in Ex-Mt condition and problem free revealing only the typical creasing from folding and storage that is only visible upon close inspection.
