The 1933 Princeton Tigers football team coached by Fritz Crisler finished the season with a 9–0 record and were named co-nationalchampions with the University of Michigan Wolverines (7-0-1) by sports historian and former longtime college football coach Parke Hill Davis. The Tigers outscored their opponents in dominating fashion 217 to 8. In fact the were the only unbeaten and untied team in the country. Their final game of the season occurred on December 2nd against Ivy League rival Yale University. In the Yale Bowl Princeton trounced their opponent 27-2 to close out aspectacular season.This lot features an original 1933 Princeton Tigers Football National Champions 10K Gold charm that was issued to team player S.J. McPartland who played right halfback. Produced in the shape of a small football the charm has four panels that include the following writing: "CHAMPIONS 1933" "PRINCETON 27 YALE 2" "S.J. McPartland" and "Right Halfback." A raised "P" for Princeton overlaps the first two panels of the football right where the laces belong. A great piece of historical football memorabilia that recognizes one of the greatest college football teams ever the 1933 Princeton Tigers.
