Official scorecard from the first Major League All-Star Game played on July 6 1933 at Comiskey Park in Chicago. The fold-over scorecard features an image of Chicago White Sox president J. Louis Comiskey on the cover with the starting line-ups and reserves pre-printed on the 2 inside pages. The inaugural 1933 All-Star Game hosted what many people consider to have been the greatest collection of baseball talent ever to play in a single game. 23 future Hall of Famers were represented on the competing teams - Babe Ruth Lou Gehrig Jimmie Fox Carl Hubbell Lefty Gomez Bill Dickey Al Simmons Earl Averill Charlie Gehringer Frank Frisch Chuck Klein Chick Hafey Bill Terry Paul Waner Pie Traynor Gabby Hartnett Tony Lazzeri and Joe Cronin. Managers John McGraw and Connie Mack with coaches Eddie Collins Bill McKechnie and Max Carey. Appropriately enough Babe Ruth would hit the first home run in All-Star game history a run shot in the 3rd inning to boost the American League lead to 3-0 on way to a 4-2 victory. Frank Frisch provided all the scoring for the National League with a two-run homer in the sixth inning. Scorecard has been neatly scored in vintage black ink. Some wear along the spine with 6 small areas of front and back surface paper loss on the borders. There is evidence of a light vertical fold down the center at one time. Scorecard displays very well with excellent color and printing. Great looking for age!
