An extraordinary piece of pre-war sports card history, this 1933 Goudey Sport Kings #32 features Joseph Lapchick — misspelled on the card as ""Lopchick"" — one of the pioneering centers of the Original Celtics dynasty and a foundational figure in the development of professional basketball. The Sport Kings set is among the most important multi-sport issues in American card history, depicting legends across boxing, football, swimming, and more.
Graded PSA EX 5, this 90-year-old card exhibits well-preserved color and strong visual presentation consistent with its grade. The cardboard quality and storage realities of the Depression era make EX-range examples increasingly difficult to locate. The notable misspelling of Lapchick's surname adds a charming layer of historical character to the piece.
