Fresh to the hobby from the family of the person who assembled the set by in 1933 very evenly matched lesser condition complete set of the cornerstone 1933 Goudey Baseball issue. The vast majority of cards fall within the G to G-VG range with a good number being crease free but having quite a bit of corner wear. We have pictured 36 of the most expensive cards to give an idea of condition. Key cards are: #1 Bengough G 2 Vance G-VG 19 Dickey G-VG 29 Foxx G-VG 53 Ruth G-VG with a few very small spots of paper loss on the back at the bottom 89 Speaker G-VG 92 Gehrig G-VG 119 Hornsby G-VG 127 Ott VG but just a shade short 144 Ruth G-VG 149 Ruth VG w/pin hole at top/small spot of paper loss at name/1/4" by 5/8" light stain from vintage tape at bottom 154 Foxx G-VG 160 Gehrig F 181 Ruth VG w/small green stain at upper right corner on front 188 Hornsby G-VG 207 Ott G-VG 211 Wilson G-VG 216 Gomez G-VG 220 Grove G-VG 223 Dean G-VG 230 Hubbell G-VG 234 Hubbell VG. Some of the cards have a small number in pencil on the back. We erased a few and the number came off very easily. Great evenly matched lesser condition set with decent eye appeal for those who are not that concerned with corner wear.
