In 1933 Rogers Hornsby returned to St. Louis where his career began back in 1915 with the Cardinals. Joining the rival Browns, Hornsby transitioned from the best right-handed batter in the game to manager, playing his last nine games as a major leaguer in 1933. This card shows the future Hall of Famer in the classic managers pose. This example displays gorgeous coloring, sharp white borders, and a clean back, rating a grade of PSA NM-MT 8.
