The artists for the 1933 Goudey set excelled in creating very riveting portraits of the day’s stars – and a picture-perfect example is card 139 – Ben Cantwell. The Braves pitcher is depicted with piercing blue eyes which display beautifully in this PSA NM-MT 8 example. None have been graded higher than this example, and one look at the strong colors, snow white borders, sharp corners and clean back tells you why there are no finer card 139’s in the hobby.
