The 1934 Gold Medal Flour series of 12 cards was issued to commemorate stars of the 1934 World Series participants St. Louis Cardinals and Detroit Tigers. This offered PSA graded EX 5 Mickey Cochrane example is one of the keys to the set (the other being Dizzy Dean) that were issued as a Wheaties cereal premium. In addition to the card is an outstanding original PSA/DNA Type I International News wire photo featuring the same image of Cochrane used to produce his 1934 Gold Medal Flour card. The photo is in EX-MT condition with paper credit affixed to back and typical stampings and editorial markings.
