Unbelievable massive lot of almost 900 different 3 1/2" by 5 1/2" black and white photo postcards featuring just about every Major League ballplayer from the middle 1930's. Ruth Gehrig DiMaggio Wagner Dean Greenberg Hornsby Foxx Grove Gomez Cochrane Johnson Mack Wilson Vaughan Hartnett Lombardi etc all the great stars appear to be here. Many players have multiple poses be it with the same team or another. The majority of these cards contain beautiful George Burke photo images. The vast majority of cards themselves rate in the NM to NM-MT category. All have post card backs but are unused. Each has the name of the player neatly written in blue ink on the back at the top as well as some sort of pencil identification.(53 A-5 389 N-4 12 A-4 426 A-3 etc - A and N stand for American League and National League) We believe all these were obtained through the mail at the time possibly from an ad in a baseball publication.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received.
