Here's a vintage beauty that will take you back to the gridiron in the days of the Great Depression. This is a spectacular 1930's era A.G. Spalding professional quality game-worn wool knit complete with the unique style of the day and enough visible wear to guarantee its bona fides. The heavy wool knit jersey has a small "A. G. Spalding & Bros." tag at the collar; a black felt "76" is sewn directly to the front of the gold-colored fabric and in a much larger version on the back. Shirt has intact elbow padding within each sleeve; it shows tremendous game wear including staining paint transfer and some tears and team repair. A truly magnificent artifact from a long bygone era. Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Helms/LA 84 Collection.
