1927 American League batting champ Harry Heilmann graces this stunning piece of 1920s advertising art. Heilmann hit a majestic .398 in 1927, making him a natural fit for Lucky Strike 1928 ad campaign featuring the best athletes of the day. The AL batting champ is shown taking a mighty cut in front of the Lucky Strike bullseye logo. While this piece features a deep stadium green background, Heilmann likeness was also used in Lucky Strike larger advertising panels which used a golden yellow backdrop. Measuring 10 x20, the piece shows only light wear and toning from age. Professionally matted and framed, the colors on this piece are vibrant and bright, making this a museum-worthy example of American advertising art.
