Many teams have dominated their respective leagues over the course of baseball history, but few have been able to totally demoralize their competition like the Yankees did in 1927. Their lineup, appropriately dubbed "Murderer's Row," featured five .300 hitters. Among their ranks were the league leaders in virtually every offensive category. As a team, the Bronx Bombers totaled over 100 more home runs than any other team and posted league highs with a .307 batting average and an amazing .489 slugging percentage. Their sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1927 World Series represented the culmination of the most prolific season played by any team in baseball history. Originating from that historic season, this OAL (Johnson) ball presents 18 signatures from that greatest of Yankees ballclubs including; Ruth (sweet spot 4/10), Gehrig (3/10), Bengough, Paschal, Fletcher, Combs, Moore, Pipgras, Thomas, Meusel, Pennock, Koenig, Hoyt, Shocker, Collins, Grabowski and two illegible. The signature of Cedric Durst has been deemed clubhouse. A notation "1927" is written near the bold manufacturers stampings. The signatures range from illegible(2) to 5 out of 10, averaging 3-4/10. The ball itself is in very good condition with moderate toning and light scuffing throughout. This is a desirable artifact from the absolute pinnacle of Yankee dominance.

Includes a full LOA from PSA/DNA.
