Lou Gehrig racked up an incredible six World Series titles during his storied career with the New York Yankees. The first of these came with the famed Murderers' Row team in 1927. This picture was captured during that 1927 Series, in which the Yanks easily handled the Pittsburgh Pirates in a four-game sweep. Gehrig is shown sliding into home just ahead of the throw, a perfect encapsulation of the hustle he played with throughout his time in pinstripes. This 8 x 10 photo has some minor dings and creasing when held up at certain angles and is in overall very good condition. It is slabbed and given a Type 1 designation by PSA/DNA.
