This Babe Ruth signature, cut from a larger document or album page and dated 1927 in Ruth's own hand beneath the signature, has been authenticated and graded by PSA/DNA at the Mint 9 level for autograph quality, certified under authentication number E60888. A PSA/DNA Mint 9 autograph grade reflects bold, dark ink with strong, fluid pen strokes and excellent eye appeal, just shy of a flawless 10. The accompanying 1927 date adds important contextual value, placing the signature squarely within Ruth's legendary 60-home run season with the 1927 Yankees, widely regarded as one of the most significant individual seasons in baseball history.

 

PSA/DNA's authentication of vintage Ruth signatures involves close comparison against documented exemplars, and a Mint 9 grade on a dated period example represents one of the highest-graded Ruth signatures available to collectors.
