This full-color tri-panel freestanding cardboard advertising display features a panoramic view of a game in progress at Yankee Stadium during the 1926 World Series. The stunning design of the piece includes an illustration of a large package of Beech-Nut Tobacco suspended in midair above the ball field beside the sky-written message "The Big League Chew." The bottom portion of the display features an additional advertisement for "Beech-Nut Chewing Tobacco." Within the center section is a text box reading "Photographic reproduction of the Yankee Stadium - New York City. As it appeared in the World's Series 1926. Record Attendance 63600." The store advertising display is designed with two vertical folds which separate three panels. The two smaller side sections are designed to be folded slightly forward to allow the advertisement to be freestanding. There is a small amount of edge and corner wear. Due to its size intended use and fragile nature restoration is essentially routine with these Beech-Nut displays. This one is a rare exception and survives in much better condition than the majority of other known examples. Excellent condition overall. Measures 60 by 38.
