From 1926 to 1943 the USC Trojans football team produced 10 outstanding All-America selections. In 1943 the All America Board of Football produced an impressive (and heavy) bronze wall plaque honoring the 10 Trojans chosen for the elite gridiron honor. Those 10 players who each have their names engraved on the bronze plaque are: Morton Kaer 1926; Jesse Hibbs and Morley Drury 1927; Francis Tappaan 1929; Erny Pinckert 1930; John W. Baker and Gaius Gus Shaver 1931; Ernest Smith 1932; Harry Smith 1938 and 39; and Ralph Heywood 1943. The plaque which measures 18 wide by 22 high weighs an eye-popping 14 pounds.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
