1925 Pittsburgh Pirates World Series press pin features "WORLD'S SERIES PITTSBURGH FORBES FIELD 1925" in gold on black enamel on the front with white enamel baseball at the center. At the bottom in "PRESS" in black enamel on gold. Top of screw down clasp on back reads WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK N. J." Underside of screw down clasp on post does have tarnish. Pittsburgh defeated Washington 4 games to 3 defeating Walter Johnson 9-7 after falling behind 4-0. Johnson had beaten the Pirates 4-1 and 4-0 in games 1 & 4 respectively. Pin displays beautifully.
