The Polo Grounds became the center of the baseball world during the first half of October 1921 as the National and American League representatives calling that stadium home faced off for the first of three consecutive Fall Classic battles. The Yankees would fall in eight games in their first World Series appearance but this season could appropriately be considered the beginning of the ballclub's rise to the pinnacle of the sport. This scarce program is partially scored. Some tack holes along the spine a vertical center bend and general toning and wear must be noted but do little to distract from its excellent overall eye appeal. Technically VG-VG/EX with a superior appearance.
