SGC Authentic 1921 World Series ticket stub to Game 2 of the 1921 World Series between the New York Yankees and New York Giants played at the Polo Grounds in New York on October 6 1921. Future Hall of Fame pitcher Waite Hoyt threw a complete game 3-0 shutout giving up only 2 singles. 1921 would be the first of many World Series appearances for the Yankees who who would eventually fall to the Giants 5 games to 3 after taking the first 2 games. This would be the first of three consecutive Fall Classic battles between the Yankees and Giants with the Yankees winning their first title in 1923. Stub slabbed Authentic but displays as VG with some creasing and corner wear. "Oct 6th -24" "Giants vs Yankees" and "3-0 favor Yanks" written in pencil on the front of the otherwise clean ticket.
