Baseball Hall of Famer and longtime Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Honus Wagner won eight batting titles during his 21-year tenure in the National League (1897 to 1917). As the owner of a .328 lifetime batting average Wagner recorded a total of 2967 hits which included 252 triples. This lot features a specially produced Honus Wagner Hillerich & Bradsby full-size decal bat that was made between 1921 and 1931. The 33 long bat boasts a unique decal that shows a head shot of Wagner and his name centered on the barrel with special wrap-around text that reads: Uses Exclusively the Louisville Slugger Bats. This represents a very unique piece of sports memorabilia that was manufactured nearly a century ago.
