Intriguing lot of 18 signed photos by many of the foremost motion picture stars of the 1920's. Many of the large mostly 11" by 14" sepia tone photos carry dates in the inscriptions. All are made out to either Bernice Corrado or Gino Corrado. Gino Corrado was a long time actor whose career in pictures spanned from 1916 thru 1954. Bernice must have been a relative who also worked in some form in the film industry possibly a song writer or musician as most of the photos to her are inscribed and mention specific 1920's motion pictures with comments from the actor about working together. Photos are for the most part in decent shape with signatures and inscriptions being in strong 8-9/10 vintage black or blue steel tip pen. Some of the photos have photographer's identified. Included in the group are (Years active in parentheses): Douglas Fairbanks Jr. "The Barker" "1928" (1916-1997) Mary Astor* "1927" (1920-1964) Colleen Moore "A Roman Scandal" "The Desert Flower" (1916-1934) Colleen Moore (1916-1934) Billie Dove (1918-1932) Gilbert Roland (1923-1982) Claire Windsor (1919-1945) Arthur Lake "On With The Show" "Remember Lilac Time"(1917-1957) Edmund Lowe (1915-1960) Margaret Livingston (1916-1934) Charles Murray "Aug. 9th 1928" (1912-1938) Ruth Roland (1908-1935) Lucian Pival* "1927" (1926-1953) Jack Mulhall* (1910-1959) Norman Kerry (1916-1941) Sidney Olcott (1917-1942) Arthur Stone (1924-1938) one unidentified due to handwriting (To Miss Bernice Hope we work together"). *8" by 10" photo. Also included is an unidentified unsigned 8" by 10" photo that was found with the group. Interesting piece of early Hollywood history.

The PSA/DNA examination of the autographs in this lot came back inconclusive meaning they did not pass nor fail them. Based on the source of the photos (same consignor who has given us the Clark Gable/Carol Lombard Estate documents and many other Hollywood signed items all of which have passed PSA/DNA in the past) we are keeping them in the auction.
