Pair of convention ribbons to the 1920 and 1922 National Association of Baseball Leagues. Formed in 1902 the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues was organized as an association to represent all minor leagues in their dealings with the majors. By working with the majors they were able to establish minor league classifications set roster and salary limits and co-ordinate a system for the drafting of their players by the majors. In the agreement between the two groups were the recognition of reserve lists and the creation of a Board of Arbitration having the power to suspend players clubs or officials for violations. The group meets yearly during the off-season to take up any pressing issues. 1920 Kansas City Convention blue ribbon measures 1 3/4" by about 5" and has some areas of vertical separation including one that runs almost it's entire length. The 1922 Louisville Convention red ribbon measures 1 5/8" by 4 1/4" and has some loss to the top area through strands coming loose. Interesting mementos from an organization that has so much impact on the great sport of baseball.
