Not often seen early image of St. Louis Cardinal Hall of Famer Rogers Hornsby from the 1917-20 Felix Mendelsohn issue. Hornsby was the finest hitter in National League history topping the .300 mark 16 of his 19 years in the league including over.400 3 times. He still holds the 2nd highest lifetime batting mark of all time .358 behind only the legendary Ty Cobb. 4 3/8" by 6 1/2" oversize card rates about VG due to some corner wear/creasing. Front is clean with a crystal clear black & white photo image of Hornsby. Back is covered with team names and numbers in pencil. A 1/2" strip at back top has paper loss due to tape removal.
