This lot offers one of the rarest Napoleon Lajoie cards in existence, with only three total in PSA's Population. The 1916 H801-9 'The Globe' card is freshly graded and received a PSA NM 7 grade, making it the highest graded card available on the market. The card features an image of Lajoie in his Philadelphia Athletics uniform, prepared to swing the bat at a pitch. Excellent eye appeal remains throughout for a card that is nearly 110 years old. Nice centering, sharp corners, and excellent edges are attributes that accounted for this card's high grade. 

The reverse of the card reads "Play Safe Boys - In or out of Season, Always the Best. Globe Dubbel-Hedder Suits, Right-Posture Suits. THE GLOBE. 322-324 Market Street".

The 1916 H801-9 Globe set is identical to M101-4 Sporting News except for the different advertisement on the reverse.
