Heres a nifty piece of World Series lore: a 1915 World Series Game 3 press pass for Braves Field in Boston(World Series Game 6) a phantom item since the 1915 World Series came to an end at the Baker Bowl in Philadelphia as the powerful Red Sox dumped the Phillies in five games. Phillies fans no doubt delighted as the club won the opener behind Hall of Fame pitcher Grover Cleveland Alexander but probably would have gulped at the idea that they would win their next World Series contest a mere 65 years later. This press pass is found in an PSA Authentic holder seemingly presenting in Excellent fashion jostled only by what might be a staple removal at the top of the ticket. The series was also noteworthy in the appearance of a 20-year-old Babe Ruth who was 0-1 in a single appearance at the plate and wasnt even needed at all on the mound despite having been one of the clubs aces throughout the season logging an 18-8 record with an ERA of 2.44. His postseason pitching prospects would improve in World Series outings for the Sox in 1916 and 1918 as he would put together a scoreless innings streak of 29 2/3 innings a record that would last longer than his amazing 60 home runs mark in 1927. Ticket is called a "Phantom" by PSA because that game was never played.
