Offered here is a Eugene Layden player contract autographed by Ban Johnson during his time as President of the American League and then Yankees owner Jacob Ruppert. The contract, signed in 1915, layed out the conditions of the “American League Baseball Club of New York” and their signing of Layden. Johnson’s autograph is found on the first panel and Ruppert’s and Layden’s are found on the inside. The signatures rate 7-8 to 8-9 out of 10 and the document itself is in fine overall condition with light wear and typical fold lines. Includes auction Letter of Authenticity from JSA.
