This ultra high-grade complete 1914 Polo Grounds game card set includes all 54 cards plus the original box and instructions. This recently discovered boxed set appears to have never been played with or even handled. Prior to submitting the cards for grading by PSA the entire game including the box instructions and all the cards were totally undisturbed for nearly a century. Produced by The Card Baseball Co. Inc. of Norfolk Virginia this rare game card set is referred to as The Polo Grounds game because the back of each card features a green and white photograph of a game in action at the Polo Grounds. The box for the officially named "All Star Card Baseball" set promises that this game is "Exciting! Interesting! Thrilling!" and "The Hit of the Season!" As issued the game included a total of 54 cards representing thirty different players plus twenty-four duplicates. This set includes all 54 original cards including duplicates (as issued) of several key HOFers and stars. Among the most prominent stars of the era featured in the set are Joe Jackson four cards of Honus Wagner two Ty Cobb three Christy Mathewson etc.

All 54 cards from this original boxed set were submitted to PSA for grading. The extraordinary results include; 25 MINT 9 cards including examples of the majority of the marquis Hall of Famers 10 NM-MT+ 8.5 15 NM-MT 8 1 NM and 3 EX 5. It currently ranks as the 3rd Finest Set on the PSA Set Registry with an overall set rating of 8.57. The original box is complete and in NM condition and is rarely found this nice.
