New York Giant press pin to the 1913 World Series between the Giants and Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics. The Athletics defeated the Giants 4 game to 1 behind the play of 4 Hall of Famers - the hitting of Eddie Collins and Home Run Baker and the pitching of Eddie Plank and Chief Bender. Plank threw a 2 hitter with no walks to beat the Giants 3-1 in the deciding Game 5. Front design has crossed bats with ball and mask and "1913" at top and bottom of center. In the blue enamel around the edge is "World Series" with "Giants across the center. Clasp on back stamped "Whitehead & Hoag Co Newark N.J.". Nice shape with some wear around the front edges. Displays beautifully.
