Beautiful condition 1912 L1 Leather Premium of Pittsburgh Pirate pitcher Marty O'Toole. O'Toole had the finest year of his brief 5 year career in 1912 winning 15 games for the 2nd place Pirates with a 2.71 ERA while leading the National League with 6 shutouts. He is one of only 5 players in the L1 Leather set who was not pictured a year earlier in the popular T3 Turkey Red Tobacco Premium issue. Front appears to be in great condition with none of the usually found pin holes. Picture of O'Toole is dark with outstanding detail. Back does have some wear with a small 1 1/8" by 3/4" piece of paper attached and what appears to be a large #6 written in what looks to be pencil near the top.
