Extremely rare card of Pittsburgh Pirate Hall of Fame Great Honus Wagner from the 1911-16 T216 Mino Cigarettes Louisiana regional tobacco issue. Only 2 cards have been rated higher by PSA however they may not be a MINO as they do not distinguish between the 3 brands - MINO Kotton Virginia Brights in their population report. They are all lumped together under the T216 People's Tobacco heading. Dark rich color with a very clear picture image. Nicely centered top to bottom off somewhat to the right side. All corners appear about G. Very clean front aside from some small areas of toning near the top and bottom corners. The back is pretty clean. Light crease at across top above Wagner's head one to left side of cap another at lower left below belt and diagonal creases from right center border to bottom do not disrupt the front surface that much. Very tough card to find in any condition. Loads of eye appeal for the given technical grade. Duplicate from the outstanding Louisiana find offered in our last auction. That PSA 1 sold for over $4500 in our June 10th sale.
