One of the crown jewels in the entire field of card collecting this is one of two examples of the legendary 1909 E90-1 Joe Jackson card graded NM-MT 8 by PSA with none graded higher. Jackson's E90-1 representation is one of just a handful of Joe Jackson cards issued during his playing days and is indisputably recognized as his rookie card. It's overall rarity and historical importance has earned it universal status as one of the most valuable and famous cards in the hobby.

At the dawn of his extraordinary and tragic baseball career Jackson is pictured here as a member of Connie Mack's Philadelphia As. Jackson played only ten games with the Athletics before Mack traded him to Cleveland. Shortly after this card was produced "Shoeless Joe" would burst on the major league scene in 1911 by belting .408 in his first full season with Cleveland. Ultimately his .356 lifetime average would have automatically guaranteed him a spot in the Hall of Fame were it not for his involvement in the infamous 1919 Black Sox scandal that would usurp his legacy.

This astonishing high-grade "Shoeless Joe" rookie is beautifully printed with superb color and registration. Four sharp corners flawless edges and clean surfaces have defied the ages and miraculously avoided even the slightest careless handling. Of the sixty-nine E90-1 Jacksons in the PSA population report sixty-seven are graded 5 or lower and only one exists in equal grade. These numbers speak for themselves! This is one of two if not THE finest known and one of one of card collecting's greatest treasures.
