This impressive action shot depicts Cubs ace Mordecai "Three Finger" Brown during the 1907-1908 period in which he pitched Chicago to back-to-back world Championships. Brown’s right hand was mangled in a farm-machinery accident as a boy, and this photo captures his unique three-finger grip on the baseball. During 1907-1908, Brown won a combined 49 games for Chicago, plus another three in World Series play. The image has been printed to its edges. It displays a wonderful sepia tone with nice contrast. The reverse has no markings or stamps. The photo has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA and graded Type 1 Authentic.
