Highly sought after fold-over scorecard issued for the National League game between the New York Giants and the St. Louis Maroons at the polo grounds in 1885. The pre-printed lineups include O'Rourke, Conner, Gillespie, Ward and Esterbrook for New York and Shafer, Dunlap, Glassock and MicKinnon for St. Louis. Scored in pencil from 5/30/1885, New York was victorious in a 10-9 game; the first game of a doubleheader that day. The year "1885" is printed on the front cover and the back notes upcoming scheduled games at the polo grounds. The scorecard measures 7.25x5.75" and has some paper loss on the top of the St. Louis scoring page. There is also some paper loss and paper residue on the back cover from having once been mounted in an album. Overall GOOD to VG for the era.
