On Christmas day of 2017, the Washington Wizards suited up to compete against the Boston Celtics in the famous TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. This would be just the 3rd time the Wizards would appear on December 25th since 1986. Both eager to prove their dominance in the Eastern Conference, the teams battled until the very end. Despite playing on the opposing team’s home court, the Wizards were able to outlast the Celtics in an exciting 111-103 win.
This lot offers two game used jerseys from the Christmas Day game from two key Washington players, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Marcin Gortat. Gortat, the starting center for the Wizards, put up an impressive double-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. Oubre Jr. recorded 16 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in the matchup. Both jerseys show light game wear as they were used just once for this Christmas day game. Inscribed on the NBA authentic tagging is “12-25-17” presumably by the team’s equipment manager to mark the dating of the jerseys. Overall, both jerseys are in wonderful condition featuring vibrant Washington Wizard colors.
