When the Philadelphia Eagles drafted Carson Wentz number two overall inthe 2016 NFL Draft the 6’5” quarterback out of North Dakota State wasexpected to sit for a year behind incumbent starter Sam Bradford. Thatall changed when the Eagles traded Bradford to the Vikings right beforethe start of last season and handed the keys to the former Division II(FCS) standout. Wentz proved he was ready leading Philly to a 3-0 startwith 5 TD’s and no interceptions. After going through the typicalgrowing pains that are expected of a rookie QB the Eagles finished witha 7-9 record. Wentz played in all 16 games and threw for 3782 yards setting a franchise record with 379 completions. He's an early MVP candidate in 2017 with multiple 300-yard passingefforts and a league-leading 19 TD passes as the Eagles currently have the best record in the NFL at 7-1.
In association with his agency Rep 1 Sports Carson Wentz is offering this game-used group of items from his rookie 2016 campaign. Specifically he wore these four pieces in Philadelphia's 24-19 home victory over the Giants on December 22 2016 in which he threw for 152 yards and a touchdown. Included are his Nike compression pants armband towel and socks from that game. The pants and armband show significant grass stains from game use. Those two and the white towel are signed and inscribed "AO1" by Wentz. The black Nike compression socks are unsigned. The ensemble comes in an orange nylon drawstring bag with “CUSTOMIZED ITEMS” printed on the sides that was tagged by the team's equipment manager with date of the Giants game. The pants and armband are easily photo-matched to the 12/22/2016 game at Lincoln Financial Field with a timely image (Getty 630443832) that even shows the exact play where he slid and picked up the grass stains.
These items come directly from Wentz courtesy of his contract andmarketing agency Rep 1 Sports. 100% of the proceeds will go to theCarson Wentz AO1 Foundation (www.ao1foundation.org). "AO1" stands for his motto "Audience of One" which is also tattooed on his wrist. Includes LOA signed byCarson Wentz. Autographs pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
