Russell Westbrook was named the NBA’s Most Valuable Player following the 2016-17 season when he became just the second player (Oscar Robertson, 1961-62) to ever average a triple-double for an entire season. On December 12, 2014, the Oklahoma City Thunder paid a visit to the Target Center in Minneapolis to take on the host Timberwolves. Led by another monster performance from Westbrook, who scored a game-high 34 points, the Thunder won the game going away, 111-92. Russ logged 36 minutes dishing out six dimes and snatching six boards. The relentless point guard, whose athleticism and boundless energy never cease to amaze us all, averaged a league-best 28.1 points with 8.6 assists and 7.3 rebounds in 2014-15 for his OKC squad, who barely missed the playoffs that year.
Offered here is Westbrook’s jersey he wore in that mid-December road win over the T-Wolves. It has been professionally photo-matched by MeiGray/NBA as one of two shirts he donned that evening. The size “L” white jersey, which shows light game use, has “THUNDER” stretched across the front in blue tackle twill outlined in white and orange. His uniform number “0” appears in similar fashion on both the front and back of the jersey. The lower left front tail includes the proper Adidas manufacturer’s tagging with “12-12-14 1” written in black marker, next to the NBA Authentication code (OTH02040). An adjacent flag tag reading “LENGTH +2” appears to the right. His last name “WESTBROOK” is sewn directly onto the back of the jersey in blue tackle arched across the shoulders. The Thunder’s colorful blue, yellow and orange scheme lines either side of the jersey. The official embroidered red, white and blue NBA logo appears just below the rear collar.
