Featured here is Kemba Walker’s Charlotte Hornets game-worn and autographed road jersey from December 10 2016 against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena. Walker led his team with 24 points and five assists in a 116-105 loss to the defending champions as LeBron erupted for 44 points 10 dimes and 9 boards. The 6’ 1” point guard out of UCONN averaged a career-high 23.2 points to go along with 5.5 assists in his sixth NBA season and earned his first All-Star nod. After a 6th place finish in the Eastern Conference and a trip to the playoffs a year ago the Hornets missed the postseason in 2016-17 with a 36-46 record. The jersey is photo-matched by the experts at Resolution Photomatching and comes directly from an anonymous but very reliable NBA source who attests to Walker signing it in person after the game.
The purple mesh jersey has “HORNETS” on the front in white on teal tackle twill with “WALKER” sewn across the back in white tackle twill letters. His No. “15” appears on the front and back in teal.. The embroidered NBA logo patch is sewn on the upper back. Appropriate “Adidas Size M” tagging with a "Length +2" flap tag appears on the front left tail. The adjacent NBA Authentication tag is coded "CHO00946." Inside the left inseam are the washing instructions and "05/16" manufacturing date tag. Walker has signed the back number ‘1’ in 8-9/10 black marker. Teal gray and sky blue piping runs down the sides of the shirt and the collar sports teal elastic trim. The jersey was not laundered after the game and still carries a strong odor of Walker’s perspiration. Can't get more authentic than that!
