Anybody old enough to have watched the masterful Greg Maddux dominate National League hitters during his Hall of Fame career would want to take a whack metaphorically speaking at this wonderful and important game-used baseball from Madduxs final major league appearance during the NLCS against the Phillies in 2008. Maddux tossed a scoreless fourth inning in what would turn out to be his final trip to the mound as a major leaguer. This amazing Official Major League Baseball (Selig) bears all the requisite earmarks of substantial game use attested to by dirt staining and bat marks; holograms affixed near the Rawlings labeling and above the iconic MLB batter logo attest to its connection with the Hall of Famer. Certainly another museum-worthy artifact from quite possibly the greatest craftsman of his generation properly encased in a clear plastic display cube.
