During his tenure in Boston, former Celtics’ point guard Rajon Rondo helped the team secure its 17th NBA title by winning it all in June 2008. Earlier that same season, Rondo and the C’s squared off overseas against the Minnesota Timberwolves in a NBA Europe Live Tour Exhibition Game. On October 10, 2007, the Celtics and the T-Wolves traveled across the pond to battle one another inside London’s 02 Arena. This lot features Rondo’s 2007 Boston Celtics game worn and autographed green jersey from that game in which the Celtics prevailed 92-81. Getty 77299645 provides a nice match to the preseason contest.
On the front left tail is an “Adidas” manufacturer’s tag that reads “48” with flag tags reading “LENGTH + 4,” “CLIMALITE,” and “2007-2008.” Above that is a special “NBA EUROPE LIVE TOUR” tag with “07” incorporated. On the left chest is the official “NBA” logo embroidered, while the right chest sports an embroidered “NBA EUROPE LIVE LONDON” patch. Across the chest reads “CELTICS” in white tackle twill with a white-stitched border. The player number “9” appears on both the front and on the back in green tackle twill with a white-stitched border. His last name (“RONDO”) appears across the back in white tackle twill sewn directly onto the green mesh jersey. Above the player name is the team’s shamrock logo patch embroidered in white. Rondo signed across the number “9” on the jersey’s front in black marker.
