Gary Sheffield signed and inscribed Rawlings Professional Model bat used to hit career home run #440 off Boston Red Sox hurler Tim Wakefield on October 1 2005. On the barrel in perfect 9-10/10 silver felt tip pen Sheffield has written "Gary Sheffield #11 Career Home Run #449 10/1/05 vs Boston Red Sox pitcher Tim Wakefield". Cracked has stamping at top of knob which is obscured by heavy white tape covering bottom 4 1/2" of handle and knob. Bat displays moderate to heavy use with ball bat rack and cleat marks present. Pine tar on handle above tape. and Bat is 34 1/2 inches long and weighs 33.5 ounces.
Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA. "SHEFF AUTHENTICATED" sticker applied to barrel.
